We present the Brand of the Territory of the GAC Gulf of Castellammare and Carini
After the Preview of tonight, Friday, July 17, continues until Sunday at Isola delle Femmine (PA), the Village of Taste, an event sponsored and funded by the GAC Gulf of Castellammare and Carini (Sicily EFF 2007 - 2013 / measure 3.B1 ) with the intention of spreading the culture and the use of local fish, with the rediscovery of traditional knowledge and cultures food and wine of the fishing villages of the Gulf of Castellammare and Carini.
Saturday, July 18 at 19.30 the ribbon-cutting ceremony will officially open the festival. Speakers at the press conference the mayor of Island of the Females, Stefano Bologna; the Chair of the GAC Gulf of Carini and Castellammare, Pietro Puccio; Technical Coordinator of the GAC Gulf of Carini and Castellammare, Andrea Ferrarella; the Executive Service 5 - maritime domain - Land and Environment Department Region of Sicily; Salvatore Di Martino; the mayor of Palermo, Leoluca Orlando; Commander of the Port of Palermo, Gaetano Martinez; Commander of the Port of Mondello, Antonio Buggea; President of the Marine Reserve of Capo Gallo - Island of the Females, Manlio Munafò and the President of Cogepa, Toti Lucido. Space then to Cooking Show with the participation of "Cooks at Home" Maria Elena Curzio and Fabrizia Ventura and "Chef at home" Gerardo Denza and Clemente Gaeta.
Sunday, July 19 appointments in the kitchen will start at 20.00 with the chefs and Fabrizio Filippo's Restaurant "Baglio of the Ancients Papiri" in Palermo. Next, it will be the turn of Chef John Mannino's Restaurant "Torre Alta" Capaci. The activities of the Village of Taste will then be completed by a special evening entitled "Sea of Stories, Love Stories": two pairs of chefs (two men and two women) will interpret the culinary tradition of Island of the Females, inspired by the stories and from the suggestions of Mario Guess, Slow Food Convivium Palermo; Francesco Crisci, Councillor for Urban Planning of the City of Isle of females; Maria Floriti, editor of "Viva Palermo" and Rossella Puccio, Head of Culture and Tourism of Isle of females.
Lead the evening Sandra Pizzurro, journalist TGS - Giornale di Sicilia and Antonio stink, Press Agent of the Village of Taste. During the event, it will be presented the project of an experimental territorial brand for the promotion of excellences in the fisheries sector (EFF Sicily 2007-2013 Measure 3.B2) being implemented by the GAC Gulf of Castellammare and Carini. Speakers also Rocco Bellone (Explora), Francesco Di Lorenzo (Island of the Wind), Dario Sanfilippo (ASD Jacques Cousteau) and Mirko Marietta (Marietta Pescaturismo).
