Friday 10, Saturday 11 and Sunday, July 12 arrives in Castellammare del Golfo the Village of Taste, an event sponsored and funded by the GAC and the Gulf of Castellammare Carini Sicily from 2007 to 2013 thanks to the EFF measure 3.B1.
The Taste of the Village's objective is to spread the culture and the use of local fish, with the rediscovery of the culinary and gastronomic traditions of the fishing villages of the Gulf of Castellammare and Carini.
The events begin Friday, July 10 at 20.00 with the preview presentation of the program, a Cooking show and the opening of three shows: the Photographic "The sea villages of the Gulf of Castellammare and Carini", the one with the three Audiovisual Video Places documentaries on the GAC and the Documentary on the recovery of the memory of the little port of San Cataldo.
The inaugural meeting with the Village of Taste is scheduled Saturday, July 11 at 19.00 with the ribbon-cutting ceremony and press conference opening event. Will be the protagonists of the Mayor of Castellammare del Golfo, Nicholas Coppola; the Chair of the GAC Gulf of Carini and Castellammare, Pietro Puccio; John Basciano, Member Board of GAC Gulf of Carini and Castellammare; David Tumbarello, Locamare Commander of the Coast Guard of Castellammare del Golfo and the Project Manager of the Marketing Plan of the GAC Gulf of Carini and Castellammare, Paul Giarletta.
The two-day event, then Conferences and Workshops are taking place with the participation of prominent guests, Cooking Show in collaboration with the National Association "Cooks at Home" and with expert chefs of national and activities Ludodidattica reserved for children with presence Mascot Village, Biso.
Saturday 11 at 21.30 it will also present the book by Marcella Cross entitled "Guide to the lost flavors", a journey through stories and secrets of Sicilian food with forty old recipes. The activities of the Taste of the Village will be completed later on Sunday 12th with a special evening entitled "Words on the Sea", which recounts the proposed extension of the Sea Museum of Castellammare del Golfo and discover recipes of Sicilian cuisine and to taste to repeat at home.
